Cuberious 100% Danish wool is imported exclusively from the Scandinavian country of Denmark to our producers in Asia to wrap the mostly Danish design classics in their familiar garb from their home country. It is 100% wool and this is very soft in the haptic, a bit unruly, but very pleasantly warm. This effort can have an effect on the delivery times if a shipment does not arrive punctually at our production sites.
Cuberious classic leather is a semi-aniline leather which means it has a thin coating applied to its surface that allows the natural beauty of the leather to show through while protecting the surface. The coating also adds more durability to the leather and ensures consistent color. Semi-aniline leather is manufactured from good quality hides with fewer natural markings and may include minor alterations to disguise any unwanted effects. It is stain resistant as spilled liquid is not absorbed straight away.
Cuberious premium leather is 100% made of aniline leather. It is manufactured from the highest quality hides that undergo very little treatment to sustain the natural look of the leather. It is impregnated with transparent, environmentally friendly dyes, and unlike the semi-aniline leather no pigment is used to coat the surface. This delivers the delicate, natural look of the leather, which makes it the most luxurious and expensive leather.
Waxed, oiled or greased leather is robust smooth leather or Nubuck leather, to which a greasy - oily - waxy finish is applied. Often these waxes, oils or fats are also dyed and therefore such leathers have a slight risk of dye transfer. Such leather is labelled as waxed leather, oiled leather, pull-up leather, saddle leather or as vintage leather. Due to this soft and scratch-sensitive finish, the leather quickly gets a vintage-patina, which is a desired effect.
Extra strong and extra thick leather has to be used for some designs that need strong and sturdy material to withstand higher loads. It is characterized by its robust and grainy surface and less color deviations. Extra strong and thicker leather.
